This black-on-white olla features striking geometric design and indented finger holds on each side. Produced within the Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi) white ware tradition of the southern Colorado Plateau, the vessel reflects the Chaco and Cibola emphasis on balanced form and painted geometric design. Such ollas were used for storage and daily activities, demonstrating the integration of utility and aesthetic refinement. Puerco River, East-Central Arizona/Western New Mexico, 1000 CE – 1225 CE
