Colima Ceramic Standing Figure

This standing male figure, with hands clasped in front of the chest, is a well-known example of a “Colima Flat” from West Mexico. Dating to 300 BCE–300 CE, the figure is characterized by its simplified, flattened form and restrained gesture. Such sculptures are typically associated with burial practices and reflect Colima traditions of stylized human representation.
