The Most Beautiful House in Santa Fe
Behind beautiful adobe walls on Upper Canyon Road sits Cason del Triunfo – a global showplace of the kind that can only exist in the cosmopolitan and artistic setting of Santa Fe.
Inspired by traditional haciendas of Mexico, the original house was designed and built by Italian architect Giorgio Belloli. Belloli said, “In the apparent stillness of the New Mexican landscape there is leaven, the relentless incitement of the sun, the magnificent natural chaos… artists and their sympathizers must be its guardians, forever openly vigilant.”
This artistic spirit has enlivened Cason del Triunfo since the day of its groundbreaking. Lovingly maintained, expanded, and embellished by those who have had the privilege to call it home, as both residents and custodians – an elegantly appointed main residence, set amidst fountained courtyards, three guest casitas, elaborate office, studio, and movie theatre, wine cellar, swimming pool, and hot tub. Beyond, manicured gardens unfold toward a 250-foot stretch of the Santa Fe River.
It is here on Canyon Road, in what Belloli called “The Spirit of the Place”, that one finds the true essence of Santa Fe.
